(5) For the first time the festival featured a top name act. 2008 saw Jesse McReynolds and the Virginia Boys. (6) Jesse chats with some of his many fans. (7) Bob McIntyre (right) received an award for being the only fiddler to compete in all  25 fiddle contests. (8) The spectators, that arrived early, were able to take advantage of the park's shaded area. (Below) A record breaking crowd of 4700 was on hand for this very special day in the history of the festival. A special thanks to all who came out and supported our efforts!
(1) This is a view few get to see. Lyons Park at 7pm the day of the festival. We could only wonder what kind of a day awaits the festival.  (2) As early as 7:30am the first fiddler arrived and serenaded the workers with his haunting fiddle tunes.  (3) The Martin Family Band is always a crowd favorite. (4) East Side Dave made his first appearance at the festival. Dave's yodeling proved to be a huge crowd favorite.
