The Lyons Recreation Department held its monthly meeting on Wednesday, January 16 th .
The annual Easter Egg hunt was discussed and will be held on Sunday, March 16 at 2pm in the community park.

 

 

The March meeting was held on Wednesday, April 15. There were 4 committee members in attendance.

Most of the time was devoted to park improvements and complying with insurance regulations.

No additional groups were hired  for  the '09 festival. Currently several are under review for possible booking. Open stage acts were urged to register as soon as possible to insure that they get the time slot requested. 

A beautiful quilt was purchased, and as in previous years, there will be tickets sold to win the quilt.   

The next scheduled meeting is Wednesday, May 20th at 6:30pm in the Lyons Borough Hall. Anyone interested in the '09 festival is urged to attend.
APRIL MEETING NOTES

At the conclusion of the festival all fiddlers at the festival are invited to participate in FiddleMania. This is always a crowd pleaser, and a chance for all fiddlers to showcase their talents. Take a moment and enjoy this clip of our unique tradition at the Lyons Fiddle Festival.
